All fired up over The Budgie Jug
There’s a superb exhibition downstairs in the Library of pottery by some of Australia’s most influential art potters, including Merric Boyd, William Ricketts, L J Harvey, Grace Seccombe, Olive Nock and Nell McCredie.
The beautifully photographed catalogue is in hot demand – we came across it on ebay.
And yesterday, our catalogue ‘easter egg’ was spotted – and mentioned in Column 8!
At an exhibition of arts and crafts at Mosman Library, Leanne Perry of Croydon discovered someone in love with their subject. She writes: “The catalogue description for The Budgie Jug reads, ‘Wheel-thrown, underwear glaze, tapering neck and sensuous lip.’”
