Teens, Get reading and win a Nintendo DSi with Reading Rave this Summer!!

This year Mosman Library is again running Reading Rave, its innovative teen summer reading program.

Reading Rave will be kicking off on Tuesday 1 December 2009 when teens can register and receive their free starter pack filled with goodies from the Mosman Library.

During the summer participants must read for 20 hours to qualify for a Participation Certificate and prize.

Teens only need to read an average of 35 minutes a day over the 8 week period to be eligible for one of the great prizes available, such as t-shirts, DVDs and movie vouchers.

Those teens that read over 65 hours during the summer holiday will receive a special High Achievement Award with their prize.

All reading ravers that are eligible for a High Achievement Award go into the draw for the grand prize, a Nintendo DSi, with built in camera, music player and Wi-Fi!

And reading ravers can win all summer long. All you have to do is review one of the books that you have read, fill out a review form and drop it into the library. Each week we will select one of the reviews at random and that Reading Raver will win a great prize!

Review forms are in the starter pack and more are available in the Teen Zone or on the Wired 4 Teens blog.

The annual Reading Raver Christmas Party will also be held on 16 December, with food, fun and games! And what’s a Christmas party without a present or two…

The program finishes up on Friday 29 January with a presentation and prize night for all participants on Monday 15 February!
