Book Review - Graceling by Kristin Cashore

Katsa is one of many Gracelings who live amongst the people of the seven kingdoms. They are people born with a special skill, and are distinguished by their two different coloured eyes. Katsa was born with a killing Grace, having been able to kill with her bare hands since she was eight years old. She is exploited by her uncle, the King, and isolated from others due to the nature of her skill. Then she meets Prince Po, who is a Graced fighter, and they challenge each other in fights. Katsa forms a bond with Po and they each make discoveries about themselves, as well as a great danger present in the kingdoms. Graceling is a wonderful novel with a mix of adventure, romance and fantasy. A must read!
